1. Data Collection and Local Storage

StellarCat Journal  does not collect, track, store on remote servers, or transmit any personal information or user data. * All data you input, create, or modify within the App is stored strictly locally on your device.

• We do not integrate third-party analytics or advertising tracking tools.

• We do not maintain databases of user information, and your data is never sent to the developer or any third parties.

2. Data Export (Local Storage & Standard Android Sharing)

StellarCat Journal includes a user-initiated data export feature that allows you to back up or transfer your journal entries and app data. When using this feature, the data is compiled locally on your device into standard, readable file formats (such as TXT or CSV).

This process is entirely controlled and executed by you using standard Android system components. Depending on the option you choose, the generated file can be:

• Saved locally to a directory of your choice on your device via the Android Storage Access Framework.

• Shared with external apps or cloud storage services (such as Google Drive, email clients, or messengers) through the native Android system share sheet.

The developer does not operate any external servers, does not collect your exported files, and has no access to your storage credentials or the contents of your backup. Once a file is transferred or saved to a third-party application or cloud service via the Android share system, its security and storage are exclusively governed by the privacy policy of that respective service provider.

3. Device Permissions

To enable the optional Google Drive export or save files to your device, StellarCat Journal may request local storage or network access permissions. These permissions are used exclusively to execute the features you initiate on your device. No data is harvested or monitored through these permissions.

4. Children’s Privacy

Because our App does not collect or transmit any personal data, it is completely safe for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13, and is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Any updates will be posted directly on this page and are effective immediately upon publishing.
